With a rich history spanning over 95 years, we honor tradition while embracing modern teaching methods to foster inclusivity and capability.

Leung Cheung Martial Arts - Yau Kung Mun (Hong Kong)

1970's
Leung Cheung - Martial Arts Instructor Sydney Chinatown Late Grandmaster Leung Cheung arrived in Sydney. Assisting Chinese Community groups forming Martial Arts Classes

1976

Established Australian Leung Cheung Martial Arts Academy Located on Sydney Sussex Street in Chinatown, Grandmaster Leung Cheung opened his dojo to Australians from all walks of life.

Established Traditional bone setting Clinic - Sydney Chinatown A Chinese Medicine practitioner treats bone fractures, concussions, sprains and joint dislocations through pulling, repositioning and aligning avoiding any invasive procedure.

1999 - Now

Established Australian Yau Kung Mun Association

Yau Kung Mun Association was established to continue the legacy of late Grandmaster Leung Cheung.

2017

Established LionDanceMe

A company established to promote lion dance using Media and Education.

2020

Established Lion Dance Kids Pty Ltd.

A rebrand from LionDanceMe Australia

Founded by Master Johnny & Kwan LEUNG.

Leung Cheung (梁祥)

Late Great Grandmaster

Great Grandmaster Leung established Marital Arts School in Hong Kong since the 1950's. After migrating to Sydney in 1970's he started a school in Sydney's Chinatown. Great Grandmaster Leung was well known in the Chinese Community for his generosity and dedication to teaching youth. Great Grandmaster Leung passed away in 1997.

After studying under his father in Hong Kong he was sent to refine his skills with many renowned martial artists around China, Skilled in the various art forms including Weapons, Hand Forms, Lion & Dragon Dancing.
